Our New Rustic Range of Wooden Notebooks

Almost all of our rustic journals look like the one above. It's Gustav Klimt's Tree of Life superimposed on a high quality image of chunky wood so it looks like a wooden book cover. That's on the: Reading Logs, Writing Journals, Password Journals, Meal Planners, Monthly Budget Planners, Food Diaries, Blank Recipe Books, Garden Planners and Guest Books. On the Trip Planner and Travel Journal (below) the tree didn't seem so appropriate, so we went for a subtle map & compass theme instead.

The overall appearance of all the journals in this range is similar, so you can buy a matching set, but the individual vintage images that make up the collage are often specific to the journal's topic. So, the majority of the page is plain ruled (medium to wide) because obviously that's what you want in a Writing Journal! But there are a few useful features to help you organize content. There's a clearly defined gray title bar at the top and, beneath it, 3 slightly wider lines in case you want to write an introduction or extended page title. We've been super busy over the last 6 months republishing most of our journals as second editions with a new publisher. The second editions of our Trip Planner & Travel Journals have a way better interior, with clearer fonts and more space for daily trip planning. Plus we've extended the design ranges. Fitness Journals & Planners

Hot off the press and not for the faint-hearted, these Fitness Journals rapidly became something of an 'Ultimate' style product during design... we just couldn't bear to leave anything out. The two demo pages from the front of the journal are posted below (obviously the actual daily log pages fit neatly on to one 8.5" x 11" page).

Primary Composition Books for Handwriting

We've launched a new series of Primary Composition Notebooks. They are D'Nealian ruled (i.e. they have handwriting guidelines) on the bottom half of the page and the top half is left free for drawing. Don't confuse these with our other Primary Composition Notebooks (called 'School Exercise Books') which are wide-ruled the full height of the page. You can easily spot the new D'Nealian ruled ones by the strip on the right-hand side of the front cover which shows you the ruling inside.

Graph Paper Notebooks for the new Academic Year

We've published two options for squared graphing paper. One with quarter inch grid squares (below left), the other with centimeter grid squares (below right). Both are a good size (8.5" x 11") with paper thick enough to minimize ink bleed-through (55 lb), faint lines that don't overpower your notation and unit conversion tables at the back.

Lab Notebooks

We've published three 8 x 10 inch laboratory notebooks just in time for the new academic year. There's one for Biology / Life Sciences, one for Chemistry & one for Physics.

 

Each has the periodic table of the elements on the back cover, along with useful constants, the values of scientific prefixes (like nano, micro, kilo etc..) and common electron shell configurations.
