Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch expressionist, sadly known for cutting his ear off after arguing with Gauguin. He suffered violent mood swings which often left him suicidal (he took his own life age 37). Other moods charged his creativity. In the 2 months prior to his death Van Gogh completed a work every single day.
